The estimate is a placeholder, honestly scored. As primary farm data arrives, the line climbs the waterfall and the estimate is replaced, never overwritten silently. Today the book sits at a weighted 3.1, which is exactly what the pilot moves.

Why version-pin

A disclosure has to be reproducible years later. Pinning every dataset to a version means the same inputs always produce the same number, and when a factor updates, the change is explicit and the delta is flagged, never silent.

It is a transparent estimate, not a measured figure. It is anchored to peer disclosure: Britannia, at ₹19,152 Cr revenue against your ₹20,290 Cr, discloses 4.0 Mt of Scope 3, and HUL at 3× your revenue discloses 12.0 Mt. Your tea-and-coffee mix is more agriculture-intensive per rupee than biscuits, so a book footprint of 3.5 to 5.5 Mt is conservative. We show the mid-point, labelled illustrative, and a pilot replaces it with your supplier data. The honesty is the point: the number is defensible, the range is stated, and the pilot's value is better data, not a bigger headline.
